Q&A With Blind Season
Jun. 07, 2021
Where did you grow up and where do you call home now?
I grew up in metro Detroit. I still call that home to this day, but I am excited to branch out and hopefully explore more of the world in the future. I will most likely always come back though because of my family.
How long have you been making music
I have been making noise since 7th grade with my friend and we would always compete to see who could learn more Metallica songs. Haha! Learning all of those so early on was awesome because it definitely helped shape me early on.
What can you tell us about your latest release "Save You"?
"Save You" is a pretty old song. But there were some cool changes made to it last minute before being done for the album. The tempo was sped up and I added the harp parts in the verses which I think really nurtures the mood.
What first got you into music?
What first got me into music was that my sister got an acoustic guitar. I eventually started sneaking around to play it and it just blew my mind. It's actually the same guitar I play today. Then guitar hero came out and that just changed everything for me.
What are some of your favorite albums of all time?
There's nothing better than when you discover a new favorite album. For me, some are Alice in Chains - Unplugged, Tool - Lateralus, The Cure - Disintegration, Paramore - Paramore, Silverchair - Neon Ballroom, Seether - Disclaimer 2, Nothing But Thieves - Broken Machine. To name a few...
What advice do you have for someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?
If someone wanted to follow in my footsteps I'd advise them not to! Haha! But if that didn't stop them, Id say start trying to sing way earlier than I did.
