What first got you into music?
When I was 9 years old my sister had Scenario by a Tribe Called Quest on tape. One day she asked did I want to hear it and I said yes. That was the day I fell in love with music. I could recall listening to that song everyday lol. After I learned the verses I thought to myself “why not try to write your own”? Once I learned how to do that I wrote every verse over. At the time I didn’t know I was showing myself how to write and rap different styles. So if it was anybody I could say that got me into music then it was my sister.
What can you tell us about your latest release "Big Dog"?
It's doing good as far as catching heat with streams and views. It’s crazy that it’s doing the numbers it is without having a video attached to it.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
My style is more like organized chaos. It can have you hyped up one minute and the next can have you thinking about life and everything else. I just want to be able to connect to every fan in every way. Not too many artist can do that and with me I want to be a timeless artist.
Who are some other artists you have been compared to?
If it was anyone that I could say people compare me to is DMX. I have that raspy voice with aggression. I haven’t found a lane yet that I wasn’t good at. Similar to him. When you X on anything you know it’s going to be a good song. That’s similar to me because I try not to miss.
Which one of your songs would you most like to make a video for?
I would have to say my newest single that I’m working on to release now. With this specific song I want to show the world that not only am I a dope rapper, that I have a very creative side when it comes to visuals.
Who would you consider to be a non-music influence?
Steve Harvey. Crazy right? Lol Music was always something I wanted to keep pursuing but I got caught up in the life of trying to go the easy route. One day I was driving in to work and I heard a video of Steve Harvey on Instagram. He was talking about jumping. What it was about was that if you never have the courage to actually pursue a dream then you might end up on your death bed regretting that decision. I didn’t want that to be me so that same day I took a leap of faith 3 years ago. It had been the best decision I have made in my life .
What is one message you would give to your fans?
Thank you and to keep rocking with me because we are on to something great baby!
